Your Fantasy Football Sleeper Of The Week For Week 12

Usually we do these later on in the week, but with the early games on Thanksgiving Day, some leagues might require you to have your lineups set a little earlier, so we're going to throw it out there now.

Last week's sleeper, Doug Baldwin of the Seahawks, did okay. . .three catches for 60 yards is decent enough for a bye week replacement in most leagues, but definitely not the best we've done this year. For our sleeper this week, we're going to go to a position that we really haven't touched on for most of the year, that being the tight end spot.

In fantasy football, having a solid option at the tight end spot can be like starting an extra player. After all, with so few quality options at the position, not every team in a 10 or 12-team league is going to have a quality tight end. So, if you can get one in your lineup, you can really help yourself out.

Our pick for this week is going to be Oakland Raiders' tight end Kevin Boss, who is only owned in 4% of all Yahoo! Fantasy Football Leagues. Boss had his best game of the year this past Sunday against our own Minnesota Vikings, catching five passes for 37 yards. This week, the Raiders will be hosting a Chicago Bears team that has allowed the most catches, touchdowns, and fantasy points to tight ends this season. With Carson Palmer getting more and more comfortable in the Oakland offense and the possibility that Jacoby Ford will remain sidelined, Boss has a pretty good chance at generating solid points for your football team this weekend.

Unless you have Tony Gonzalez or Jason Witten at the tight end spot in your lineup already, the odds are pretty good that you could do worse than taking a flier on Kevin Boss. After all, with no more bye weeks, owners need to start looking for players that can potentially help them in the playoffs. If the Raiders' offense can start clicking, Boss could easily be one of those kinds of guys. So, feel free to. . .
