Minnesota Vikings Release Video Detailing Importance Of New Stadium

Rather than concentrating on just the people in charge in the state, the Minnesota Vikings have released a video detailing what a new home for the team would mean to the state of Minnesota so that the general public can hear it for themselves.

Here is the full text of the narration:

What is the legend of the Vikings? It is a passion that is passed from generation to generation. It can be seen from the North Shore to the southern plains. It’s the deafening roar of the home crowd. It’s players giving back to the community that gives so much to them. It’s over two million Minnesotans gathering together every Sunday to share the same experience.

For over 50 years this has been our home. But our story continues. Together, we can build a multi-purpose facility owned by the great state of Minnesota, where our young champions can play, and world-class events will take center stage. We can put Minnesotans back to work, with over 7,000 jobs and $300 million in wages. We can help build Minnesota businesses. Be a first class region right in the heart of the midwest. Together, our legend continues.

This is our team. This is our state. This is our home.

$300 million in wages and 7,000 jobs created? Ordinarily, that would be kind of difficult to argue against. However, the Kurt Zellers and Amy Kochs of the world don't care about that sort of thing. They would sooner see the Vikings leave the state than actually get anything accomplished.

Pass this video around to as many people as you can. This is the sort of thing that needs to be shared.
