You know that whole "at least it's close" thing? Yeah. . .not so much anymore.

Drew Brees has five touchdown passes on the afternoon, and has completed 30-of-38 passes for 388 yards. That means the Vikings have now gone 267 pass attempts since their last interception, and are one quarter away from setting a record for the longest stretch of games without a touchdown since the NFL-AFL merger in 1970.

Contrast that to the Vikings, where Christian Ponder. . .who looks like an absolute mess today. . .is 4-of-13 for 18 yards. And 10 of those yards came on a shovel pass to Toby Gerhart for the Vikings' only touchdown of the afternoon.

It's finally gotten ugly, ladies and gentlemen. . .come on in and make jokes during the fourth quarter with us. It's as much fun as a barrel of coked-out monkeys, and hey. . .we have to laugh to keep from crying at this point, don't we?
