As fake Roger Goodell approaches the podium, it's time to move on to the next selection of the 2011 Daily Norseman Community Mock Draft.

With the eleventh pick in the 2011 Daily Norseman Community Mock Draft, the Houston Texans select. . .

Da'Quan Bowers, defensive end, Clemson

Now, this isn't a pick I necessarily agree with, because I don't think he's a great scheme fit for the Texans. . .in fact, I probably shouldn't have made him part of the selectable group. . .but I did, and now he's off the board. If there are any Texans fans reading this that are greatly offended by this, I apologize.

So, with that, it's time for the Beloved Purple to take to the podium and make their selection for the 2011 Daily Norseman Community Mock Draft.

To begin, let's list all of the positions the Vikings are set at.

We don't need a running back this early, and we probably don't need a linebacker this early. Outside of that? It's pretty much open season.

Everyone knows that this team needs a quarterback. With Gabbert and Newton off of the board already, do the Vikings love someone like Jake Locker or Ryan Mallett enough to take them at number 12?

Ray Edwards is probably leaving via free agency. Do the Vikings want to spend their selection on one of the premiere defensive ends that can be had at this point in the draft? Is a big body inside to attempt to replace Pat Williams (who may or may not be coming back) the order of the day?

Do the Vikings want to re-shuffle their offensive line and take an offensive tackle here? With both A.J. Green and Julio Jones off of the board, there really isn't a wide receiver worth taking here. Is there a defensive back worth this pick? I, personally, don't think so, but your mileage may vary on that front.

There are so many directions this team could go with this pick, and plenty of talent out there to be had with it.

Because this is our team, this pick is going to differ slightly than the others in two ways. . .for starters, there are going to be a lot more players to pick from. In addition, I'm going to leave this one open for 48 hours rather than the 24 we've been doing thus far.

So, discuss, debate, and ponder below, ladies and gentlemen! And remember, "trade down" isn't an option in our mock. . .I know that pretty much everyone would like to trade down if we could, I think. . .but keep that in mind in the discussion.
