Well, we have one less free agency problem to worry about.
Per Adam Caplan of Fox Sports, defensive end Brian Robison has signed a three-year deal with the Vikings worth $14 million. $6.5 million of that will come in the form of a signing bonus.
Robison was drafted by the Vikings out of the University of Texas in the fourth round (number 102 overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft.
In his four years with the Vikings, Robison has registered 13.5 sacks, as well as forced three fumbles and recovered two others.
With Ray Edwards almost certainly gone at one defensive end slot, Robison could be set to make the jump into a starting role. His competition at the spot right now is Everson Griffen, who has had his off-the-field difficulties, but who the Vikings seem to like a great deal.
Congratulations to Brian Robison on his new found financial security. He's been great to have on the team thus far, and will continue to be so in the future.
