This Week's Stadium Bill Is Now Next Week's Stadium Bill

Just received an e-mail from Jeff Anderson with the Minnesota Vikings' PR department, and he has some good news and some bad news.

The bad news is that the stadium bill that we mentioned on Tuesday that was originally scheduled to be unveiled this week will not, in fact, be unveiled this week.

The good news is that he's been told by Morrie Lanning and Julie Rosen that the bill will, indeed, be introduced to the legislative session next week instead.

You can read the entire thing on the Vikings' official website.

The legislation requires that the stadium have a roof so that it can be a multi-purpose facility, and does not name a "local partner," which means that the location of the stadium is still a point of conjecture. One would think that this would only be a good thing for the Vikings, as they can let proposals and deals roll in and select whichever one they feel is the most beneficial to the team.

Hopefully, this will be one of the final steps on the long and winding road to a Minnesota Vikings' stadium.
