Two more games to determine the other half of both Conference Championship Games this morning, boys and girls.
The early game today, set to kick off in about 45 minutes or so on CBS, features the Houston Texans making a trip to the East Coast to take on the Baltimore Ravens. The winner of this one gets the privilege of heading to Foxboro to battle the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game next Sunday after the Patriots blasted the Denver Broncos last night to the tune of 45-10.
The late game will see the New York Giants head up north to face the Green Bay Packers. That game will kick off at 3:30 PM Central time on FOX. If Green Bay wins, they will host the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game next weekend. Should the Giants emerge victorious, that game will take place at Candlestick Park. That's because the Niners took down the Cheap Shot Artists of New Orleans yesterday with a brilliant last-minute drive, concluding with a Vernon Davis touchdown catch with just nine seconds left on the clock for a 36-32 victory.
I suppose losses for the Saints and the Packers in the same weekend is too much to hope for. But that isn't going to stop us from hoping for it anyway.
So, if you want to talk about today's action with your fellow Viking fans, here's the place to do it!
