Vikings At Redskins: Fourth Quarter Open Thread

It's gut check time for the Minnesota Vikings, folks. This one isn't over, but it's getting close to that point.

The Redskins concluded their run of 24 unanswered points on their first possession of the third quarter, courtesy of a Robert Griffin III touchdown run from seven yards out to make the score 24-9. The Vikings then answered with a scoring drive of their own but, as has been their way, had to settle for another Blair Walsh field goal. The rookie from Georgia drilled it from 37 yards out, and the Vikings managed to cut the lead to 24-12.

Sav Rocca unleashed a beautiful punt to pin the Vikings inside of their own 5-yard line, and that's where we stand right now as we move to the fourth quarter of play.

Both of these teams have made four trips into the red zone today. The Redskins have three touchdowns and a field goal. The Vikings have four field goals. There's your difference, folks.

If the Minnesota Vikings want to go to 5-1 and take sole possession of first place in the NFC North, they certainly have their work cut out for them in this one.

Join us here for the fourth quarter of play, ladies and gentlemen! Win, lose, or draw, we're going to be here.
