Buccaneers At Vikings: Second Quarter Open Thread

Ordinarily, we'd have a GIF or some sort of a picture of a Minnesota Vikings' highlight from the first quarter of play for your viewing pleasure.

Unfortunately, tonight, there has not been one damn highlight to speak of for the Minnesota Vikings. Adrian Peterson remembered to get off of the bus, as he has five carries for 39 yards, but the rest of the team has been awful. Christian Ponder was incomplete on his first five passes, and when he did finally complete one, Jerome Simpson coughed it up for a fumble that the Buccaneers recovered.

Tampa has gotten on the board courtesy of a 28-yard Connor Barth field goal and a 1-yard touchdown pass from Josh Freeman to Erik Lorig.

There's a reason we hate it when the Vikings play in prime time. That reason is because they look like this.

We're through one quarter of play at the Metrodome, and the Vikings trail the Buccaneers by a score of 10-0. Hopefully things will only get better from here.
