Once again, the ground rules for the Game Threads:

-Thou shalt not promote illegal feeds of today's game, or I shall kick thy arse to the curb until the game is over. Thou hast been warned.

-Thou shalt make an attempt to keep the swearing to a minimum. Understandable that it will slip occasionally, but do try to limit it.

-Thou shalt not feed the trolls. Rather, thou shall simply point them out, and they shall be banished to the fires of Mordor. Or Wisconsin. Whichever we feel is more harsh at the time.

-Thou shalt not bait the fans of other teams into trolling.

-Basically, thou shalt not be a jackwagon in the game thread.

Yes, with a victory this afternoon over the Tennessee Titans, the Minnesota Vikings would become the second team in the NFL to surpass their 2011 win total in 2012 (the St. Louis Rams did that when they got their third win of the season over the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday night). Quite a start for a team that wasn't expected to do a whole lot during the 2012 season other than rebuild and lose a lot of games.

The Vikings can't allow themselves to get cocky going into today's game. While they've gotten off to a fast start, this is the NFL, and they could hit a cold spell just as easily. Hopefully Leslie Frazier will continue to have this team focused and ready to go for this afternoon's match-up.

We'll continue to put the quarterly updates into the comments of the Game Threads, and everything will be housed in the Game Stream for today's match-up. Hopefully you'll hang around and join us for all the excitement of another week of Minnesota Vikings football.
