Lions At Vikings: Final Injury Reports

Steven Bisig-US PRESSWIRE

A day late on this one compared to when we usually have it, folks, but still plenty of good stuff here. We have the final injury reports for the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions, so let's have a look.

As always, we start with the visitors, so here's the outlook for the Lions.

Player Position Injury Sunday Status
Louis Delmas S Knee Out
Amari Spievey S Head Out
Cliff Avril DE Back Questionable
Corey Hilliard OT Knee Questionable
Calvin Johnson WR Knee Questionable
Corey Williams DT Knee Questionable
Titus Young WR Knee Questionable
Erik Coleman S Toe Probable
Chris Houston CB Illness Probable
Mikel Leshoure RB Knee Probable
DeAndre Levy LB Hamstring Probable
Stephen Tulloch LB Knee Probable

Delmas will miss his sixth game in a row on Sunday with his knee issue. And I wouldn't read too much on Johnson and Avril showing up on the report. . .it's not like either of them are sitting this one out.

Now, on to the Vikings' injury report.

Player Position Injury Sunday Status
Letroy Guion DT Knee Doubtful
Percy Harvin WR Ankle Doubtful
Jared Allen DE Shoulder Probable
John Carlson TE Head Probable
Jerome Felton FB Shoulder Probable
Matt Kalil OT Knee Probable
Chris Kluwe P Knee Probable
Adrian Peterson RB Ankle/Illness Probable
Mistral Raymond S Ankle Probable
Jamarca Sanford S Knee Probable
Jerome Simpson WR Calf Probable
Antoine Winfield CB Knee Probable

Obviously, the big one here is Harvin. He hasn't practiced all week and, even with as tough as he is, I'd be completely shocked if he was out there tomorrow afternoon. With the Vikings having a bye week coming after this one, the most advisable course of action would probably be to have him rest for the next two weeks and ensure he's ready for the team's final six games.

I'm guessing that Fred Evans gets the start in place of Guion at DT. Not sure how the safety rotation is going to work with Mistral Raymond apparently poised to make his return. Lastly, the injury to Kluwe is his left knee, not the knee on his kicking leg.
