Yes, we finally got the GIF of the Jarius Wright catch from early in the game. I know Eric asked in the Game Thread, but can anyone give a good reason as to why this is Wright's first game in the NFL?
Anyway, we've got fifteen minutes of football left at the Metrodome, and the Minnesota Vikings currently lead the Detroit Lions by a score of 16-10. Blair Walsh hit another field goal with about five minutes left in the third quarter to extend the Minnesota lead to 16-3.
Then the Lions remembered that they have that Calvin Johnson fellow on their team, as Matthew Stafford hit consecutive passes of 20 and 50 yards to move deep into Minnesota territory. Stafford then found tight end Brandon Pettigrew for a 16-yard touchdown pass, and the Lions had cut the lead to 16-10.
The Vikings are driving as we start the fourth quarter of play, as they're at the Detroit 24-yard line thanks to a completion from Christian Ponder to Kyle Rudolph. Ponder continues to look solid on the afternoon, having completed 23-of-29 passes for 201 yards and a touchdown.
Can the Vikings hold on to this one against a Detroit team that has a knack for fourth-quarter comebacks? Come hang out with us and we'll find out together!
