Your Faith Hill special for this week. . .and really, Faith Hill is special every week, isn't she. . .is an AFC North match-up that's missing one major player.
The Baltimore Ravens head to Heinz Field this week to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Sunday Night Football contest, and the Steelers will be without quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for this one. Roethlisberger suffered some serious internal injuries in Pittsburgh's 16-13 overtime victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night, and will not be suiting up for this one. Byron Leftwich will be getting the start at quarterback for Mike Tomlin's team this evening.
The Ravens, led by Joe Flacco and Ray Rice, have had plenty of injury issues of their own, having lost middle linebacker Ray Lewis to an injury and having played the first half of the season without the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, outside linebacker Terrell Suggs. They're coming off a 55-20 bloodletting over the Oakland Raiders in Week 10.
The Ravens currently have a one-game lead over the Steelers in the AFC North standings (Baltimore is 7-2, while Pittsburgh is 6-3), and the two teams meet again in Baltimore in Week 13. It should be an interesting chapter in one of the NFL's better rivalries.
If you're going to be watching the game, talk about it with your fellow Vikings' fans right here!
