Vikings At Packers: Second Quarter Open Thread

The Minnesota Vikings haven't gotten a whole lot going on offense, and they can't seem to stay onside on defense after fifteen minutes against the Green Bay Packers. Other than that, things are going fine.

The Vikings won the opening coin toss and deferred to the second half, giving the Packers the ball first. Aided by a couple of offside penalties, the Packers found the end zone on a 32-yard touchdown pass to James Jones. A.J. Jefferson had pretty good coverage on Jones on the play, but Jones just outjumped him for the ball.

After a three-and-out for Minnesota, the Packers mounted another scoring drive, this one ending with a 30-yard field goal that Mason Crosby banked in off of the left upright to give the Packers a 10-0 lead.

Adrian Peterson got it going for the Vikings on the second possession, and went over the 8,000 career yard mark for his career. Only four players in NFL history have reached that mark in fewer games than the 85 it took Peterson to get there. A couple of nice completions to Kyle Rudolph and Jerome Felton have the Vikings moving, and they're into Green Bay territory at the 24-yard line, looking at 2nd-and-7.

Oh, and the troll that finally found the site after 13 weeks? He's been flushed. DISCOUNT DOUBLE FILTH, YEAH!!

Anyway, the second quarter is here. . .join us, won't you?
