Once again, the ground rules for the Game Threads:

-Thou shalt not promote illegal feeds of today's game, or I shall kick thy arse to the curb until the game is over. Thou hast been warned.

-Thou shalt make an attempt to keep the swearing to a minimum. Understandable that it will slip occasionally, but do try to limit it.

-Thou shalt not feed the trolls. Rather, thou shall simply point them out, and they shall be banished to the fires of Mordor. Or Wisconsin. Whichever we feel is more harsh at the time.

-Thou shalt not engage in racist, sexist, or other such insulting rhetoric. Somebody disagreeing with you does not make them racist or sexist. It means they disagree with you. Talk it out like adults.

-Thou shalt not bait the fans of other teams into trolling.

-Basically, thou shalt not be a jackwagon in the game thread.

Well, there's not a lot left to say about this one, folks. If our favorite football team can pull out a victory this afternoon in Houston, there's a pretty good chance that they'll control their own destiny going into the final week of the season at home. If they lose. . .well, it's not the end of the world, but we'll be sending Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck to meet the asteroid in short order.

Adrian Peterson will continue his pursuit of immortality, as he chases both the seventh 2,000-yard season in NFL history and Eric Dickerson's mark for rushing yards in a season. He needs just 188 yards in the final two games to reach the former, and 294 in the final two games to achieve the latter. Is anyone crazy enough to bet against him at this point? I know I'm not.

Christian Ponder will continue his pursuit of. . .competence, I guess. Again, he played an efficient game last week in St. Louis, but I have a sneaky feeling we're going to need a little more in this one. Can he provide it? I certainly hope so.

We'll be here covering the whole thing for you, ladies and gentlemen. Hopefully we'll be celebrating a win in a few hours.

SKOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL VIKINGS!!!!
