NFL Week 17 Early Games Open Thread

Since we have to wait (what seems like) forever for the Minnesota Vikings to kick off against the Green Bay Packers, there are plenty of early games to keep an eye on for your NFL fix. Not that it's going to help the time move any faster, but hey. . .you're not going to work tomorrow anyhow, right?

Obviously, the two games we have our eyes on are at Ford Field, where the Detroit Lions will play host to the Chicago Bears, and at Giants Stadium, where the Philadelphia Eagles will take on the New York Giants. Victories by the Lions and the Eagles will open the door for the Vikings to potentially make the post-season even with a loss to the Packers later on this afternoon.

Obviously, the easiest way. . .and the way we'd all like to see. . .is for the Vikings to get in with a victory. But it would be nice to have a little bit of a cushion, potentially. After what this team has gone through the past couple of years, I'll take a post-season berth any way this team can get one.

Here's your full slate of early games.

Early Games on CBS

Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts
New York Jets at Buffalo Bills
Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns
Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans

Early Games on FOX

Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions
Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons
New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers

There you have it, folks. . .inactives should be up sometime around 2:00 PM Central time. Enjoy the NFL action!
