Not a whole lot going on at this point on a Friday evening. . .unless you're like me and officially setting your NCAA Tournament brackets on fire. . .but the folks at Pro Football Talk just gave us a little something to talk about here.
Vikings agree to terms with DT Fred Evans on a two-year deal, per league source.

Evans spent his rookie season with the Miami Dolphins after being drafted by Miami in the seventh round (212th overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft. He was released by the Dolphins after an off-field incident, and the Vikings signed him. He has been with the Vikings for the past five seasons.
This is the point in the post where I say to myself. . ."Holy crap, Fred Evans has been here for five seasons?" Apparently, yes, he has. He hasn't registered a sack since 2007, but did have a career high in tackles this season, which I guess is something.
No mention of the financial terms of this deal have come across yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if Evans and Remi Ayodele are competing for one roster spot when Training Camp comes around this season. I'm a bit surprised by this signing, to say the least.
What do you folks think about it?
