Well, I can honestly say that I hadn't heard anything about this, nor had I seen anything like this coming.
I'm told wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. is in Minnesota visiting with the #Vikings today.

Ginn certainly wasn't a name that was on the radar of anyone here, as far as I can tell. He certainly wasn't on mine.
Ted Ginn, Jr. was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the ninth overall pick of the 2007 NFL Draft out of THE. . .(dramatic pause). . .Ohio State University, just two slots after the Minnesota Vikings selected Adrian Peterson. He spent three seasons with Miami before getting traded to the San Francisco 49ers during the 2010 off-season in exchange for a fifth-round pick.
In five NFL seasons, the 5'11", 180-pound Ginn has 159 receptions for 2,047 yards and six touchdowns. He has had a significant impact as a return man, however, having registered six touchdowns on punt and kick returns. He had one game this past season against the Seattle Seahawks. . .the 2011 season opener, in fact. . .where he had a 102-yard kick return for a touchdown and a 55-yard punt return for a touchdown in less than one minute of game time.
And if you're wondering where the "family" reference comes from, here's the context.
Cameron's relationship with Ginn dates back nearly a decade. Ginn's father, Ted Sr., is head coach at Glenville High School in Cleveland, and Cameron met a 13-year-old Ted Jr. while recruiting as head coach at Indiana.
"We drafted the Ginn family," Cameron said. "Ted Ginn and his family will give us everything they have."
If Ginn does decide to sign with the Vikings, I just hope they can fit his family under the salary cap.
