It's time for an open thread, folks, because there just isn't a whole lot else going on at the present time. I'm sure we'll have more later on in the day as far as news is concerned, but my brain hasn't fully kicked into gear yet for whatever reason, so consider this a warm-up.
Today is the first day of spring. . .no, not on any calendar you're going to find at your local store or anything like that. No, today is the first day of spring for folks like myself because tonight marks one of my favorite events of any given year.
I speak, of course, of Wrestlemania.
As many of you readers know. . .because I've said it before. . .I've been watching wrestling for almost as long as I've been alive. Yes, I get that it's fake. . .so is pretty much everything else on television. But wrestling has given us something that has extended to other sports, most notably Major League Baseball, and that is the idea of "entrance music." A song that someone likes that serves to fire them up and get their adrenaline going while they're walking to the ring, striding to home plate, or jogging in out of the bullpen.
My favorite non-wrestling example of this is former Major League Baseball closer Trevor Hoffman, who would make his entrance to Hell's Bells by AC/DC. I'm sure there are plenty of other good ones as well. So, the question for this particular open thread is this:
If you had "entrance music" or a theme song, what would it be?
For myself. . .this would have been it.
So, there's your open thread for a Sunday morning. . .starting with Black Sabbath.
As always, feel free to go off-topic on this. Enjoy, ladies and gentlemen!
