We've often joked around here that Minnesota Vikings' running back Adrian Peterson is not entirely human. Lost in all of the draft hoopla on Thursday was something that might have confirmed that.
Wow. Frazier says Adrian peterson joined teammates for wind sprints this week, beat them four times. Four months post op.— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) April 27, 2012
Ummmmm, yeah. This guy had knee surgery four freaking months ago, and he's out there running circles around people. Or, in any event, running straight lines much faster than they are.
And lest you think he might be running "wind sprints" against guys like Phil Loadholt or something, let me assure you that he was not.
"I remember (backup quarterback) Joe Webb saying, 'I can't believe it. I just can't believe it,'" Frazier said. "So, he's doing great and we're optimistic that he's going to be ready for that first game. I know that's his goal and we'll just see how he continues to progress, but he's doing great."
Yeah. . .Joe Webb is saying that Peterson's running pretty fast. Last time I looked, Webb wasn't lacking anything in the speed department.
Just more good news to tack on to an already good night for the Minnesota Vikings and their fans. Isn't it nice to have positive things to talk about for a change?
