The NFL Network did another installment of their "Top 100" series last night, revealing numbers 30-21 on their list, and the situation for the two teams that will meet at the Metrodome on NFL Kickoff Weekend remained the same, as neither of them had a player appear on the list.
80 of the 100 best players in the NFL have had their names revealed thus far, and there are still no members of the Minnesota Vikings or Jacksonville Jaguars on the list. Maurice Jones-Drew, who is likely to be the Jags' lone representative, has not yet been seen, nor have either Jared Allen or Adrian Peterson from Minnesota. As far as Minnesota goes, the former is obviously a lock, while the other one is a bit of a mystery given what he went through last season.
By contrast, looking at the rest of the NFC North, there have been four members of the Chicago Bears placed on the list thus far (Matt Forte, Devin Hester, Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs), two members of the Detroit Lions (Matthew Stafford and Ndamukong Suh), and four members of the Green Bay Packers (Charles Woodson, Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, and John Kuhn).
Yeah, I don't get that last one, either. . .you're telling me Percy Harvin isn't better than that guy? Seriously? Whatever.
But there are only 20 more players to be revealed on the list. Where will Jared Allen end up? Will Adrian Peterson fall off the list completely after being #3 on the previous version? We'll find out in the next couple of weeks.
