Adrian Peterson Could Be Activated On Sunday

With the Vikings' first pre-season game in the books, it looks like we have something else to look forward to in the very near future.

According to Tom Pelissero of 1500 ESPN, the Minnesota Vikings could activate star running back Adrian Peterson from the active/PUP list as early as tomorrow.

"We're going to discuss it," Frazier said. "We'll discuss where he is and what's the next step for him this week, whether we continue to work through rehab or how we want to approach it."

The team has said that they would like Peterson to get some carries during the pre-season if he is going to play in the regular season opener, but it remains to be seen if he would see any action in Friday's match-up at the Metrodome against the Buffalo Bills or if it would wait until the third game against the San Diego Chargers on August 24.

In Peterson's absence, Toby Gerhart looked good last night in his limited action against the San Francisco 49ers. Gerhart picked up 30 yards on five carries. Those carries went for 4, 2, 3, 5, and 16 yards, the last one coming on a very nice power sweep on a 3rd-and-6 call.
