So, yesterday at about 6 PM Central time, I was just sort of hanging out, minding my own business, when my workplace gave me a call and told me that I needed to come in and babysit some of our equipment for a while.
The draft for this year's official Daily Norseman Fantasy Football League started at approximately 7 PM Central.
At about 7:15 PM Central, I said to myself, "Damn, I'm missing the draft for the official Daily Norseman Fantasy Football League," and said so in the Open Thread where we were discussing the roster cuts and stuff.
At approximately 7:17 PM Central, Arif said (and I'm paraphrasing a bit here), "HOLY CRAP I'M MISSING THE DRAFT TOO!"
So, of the three DN staff members that are in the league, exactly zero of us were actually in attendance at last night's draft. Thanks to the random draft order generated by Yahoo!, my team was given the first overall pick. (Proof that the selection order wasn't rigged, because if I was going to rig the order, I wouldn't put myself at first overall. I don't like having the first or last pick of the first round.) After the jump, I will give everyone the results and let folks discuss what they think of the teams and stuff. The number in parenthesis after each player is what round that particular player was selected in, and the teams are listed in the order they picked in for the first round.
