Yes, after all these long months of waiting, it's finally here, folks. In just about 90 minutes, we will witness the kickoff of the 2012 NFL season from the Metrodome in Minneapolis. Since we're doing Game Previews during the week as part of our deal with Verizon, rather than re-hash that here, I'll simply put the ground rules for the Game Threads.
-Thou shalt not promote illegal feeds of today's game, or I shall kick thy arse to the curb until the game is over. Thou hast been warned.
-Thou shalt make an attempt to keep the swearing to a minimum. Understandable that it will slip occasionally, but do try to limit it.
-Thou shalt not feed the trolls. Rather, thou shall simply point them out, and they shall be banished to the fires of Mordor. Or Wisconsin. Whichever we feel is more harsh at the time.
-Thou shalt not bait the fans of other teams into trolling.
And I think that just about covers everything, though I'm sure the list will evolve over the course of the season. We'll probably end up doing a thread for each quarter, so keep an eye out for the links to the new threads.
We've waited a long time for this one, ladies and gentlemen. This team hit rock bottom last season, and hopefully today will be the day that they start moving back upwards to where we've become accustomed to seeing them.
