Yes, the title doesn't make any sense. I realize this. However, it's true.
The Minnesota Vikings have announced that their September 29th contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers at London's Wembley Stadium has already sold out. (Not sure how long it took to sell out, as Ticketmaster UK was, in fact, showing tickets available when we posted this story last week.)
Fear not, however, Vikings faithful. . .the team has announced that there is still going to be an opportunity for people that want to attend the game to do so.
"The NFL U.K. has sold out all tickets that were available in the U.K. for the Vikings vs. Steelers," Steve LaCroix, the Vikings' vice president of sales and marketing, said in an email on Saturday.
"The Vikings have secured a significant number tickets for our fans. We will have tickets for all Vikings fans who want to attend the game in London. We will provide additional ticket information in the near future."
When the team passes along the information about how people can attend this season's game in London, we will have it up here for you as well. Hopefully this will be enough of an opportunity for all of the Vikings fans that want to attend to do so.
