Super Bowl 2013: Media day open thread

USA TODAY Sports

Another day closer to the Super Bowl, ladies and gentlemen. One day closer to the last game of the 2012-13 NFL season and all of the off-season events that come with it. No real earth-shattering news concerning the Minnesota Vikings came across yesterday, but Mark came through with his latest off-season plan. Also, if you're wondering where Arif has been lately, you can check out his latest opus here, featuring the craziest idea for a fantasy football league yours truly has ever seen.

Oh, and if you haven't done so already, take a look at your chance to win the XFinity Ultimate Sports Social Media Contest!

Outside of that, once again the floor is yours. No religion, no politics, and a minimum of cursing/swearing, please. Your ambient music today is accompanied by one of the strangest/coolest videos that you'll ever see, courtesy of Sid and Marty Krofft.

Heck, I might just go all retro 80's videos for the open threads this week. Lord knows there's enough great ones to choose from. (And if you like the band Disturbed, like I do, they did a pretty great cover version of this song a few years ago.)

But, with that, the beer light is on and the floor is yours, ladies and gentlemen. And, as always, we should have more for you over the course of the day today.

EDIT: We've also got the Twitter feed of one of our own SB Nation folks, David Fucillo from Niners Nation, as he braves the throng at Super Bowl Media Day, which is today in New Orleans. Enjoy!
