Vikings At Packers: Second Quarter Game Thread

Andy Lyons

We're fifteen minutes into the proceedings at Lambeau Field, and the Minnesota Vikings find themselves with a precarious 3-0 lead over the Green Bay Packers after a review, the Green Bay Packers have scored a touchdown to take a 7-3 lead, and we're actually still in the first quarter of play.

Minnesota got the ball first, and had a pretty nice first drive, as the combination of Joe Webb and Adrian Peterson pushed the ball down the field. On a third down in the red zone, however, Webb missed Michael Jenkins and the Vikings had to settle for a 33-yard Blair Walsh field goal to take an early 3-0 lead.

Green Bay went three-and-out on their first series, much like the last meeting between these two teams, and the Vikings gained a little bit of yardage before having to punt it back to Green Bay. The Packers then put together a pretty impressive drive of their own, and now find themselves with a second and goal as we move on to the second quarter of play eventually scored on a touchdown run by DaJuan Harris where he was called down short at first, but was given the touchdown after review..

It certainly has been interesting in the early going. . .the Vikings are going to have to answer Green Bay's touchdown in a similar fashion.

Keep it here for all the action, folks!
