Vikings At Packers: Inactive Lists For Both Teams

New, comments

The Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers have released their inactive lists prior to this evening's wild card match-up.

The inactive lists for the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers have been released prior to this evening's wild card contest at Lambeau Field, and there's a pretty big one on the Minnesota side of the ledger.

Let's start with the Vikings' list, since they're the visitors, shall we?

CB Brandon Burton
WR Stephen Burton
DE George Johnson
OT Troy Kropog
LB Tyrone McKenzie
QB Christian Ponder
DE D'Aundre Reed

That's right, ladies and gentlemen. . .because of the issue with his throwing elbow due to an injury he suffered last week, starting quarterback Christian Ponder is inactive for tonight's contest. That means that Joe Webb, who has been on the field for just three plays this season, is your starter, and McLeod Bethel-Thompson will be active on the big roster for the first time in his career.

Well. . .this will certainly make things more interesting, won't it?

Now, the inactive list for the Packers.

WR Jarrett Boykin
WR Donald Driver
CB Davon House
DT Jordan Miller
RB James Starks
DE Jerel Worthy
LB Frank Zombo

No real surprises here, from all appearances. The Packers are getting most of their "big names" back, so there aren't any on the inactive list for this week.

The first quarter thread will be up in a little more than twenty minutes, folks. Keep it right here to follow all the action!
