George Paton started last off-season as the Minnesota Vikings' Director of Player Personnel. He received some interest from the St. Louis Rams for their General Manager position, and the job was reportedly his to lose. However, when all was said and done, the Vikings promoted Paton to the position of Assistant General Manager (as opposed to Assistant to the General Manager), and the Rams' job eventually went to (then) Atlanta Falcons Director of Player Personnel Les Snead.
Well, after the firings that took place on "Black Monday" in the National Football League, Paton is apparently drawing interest once again, according to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports.

No official word yet on when those interviews will be set for, but given how close Paton was to leaving last season, it wouldn't be surprising at all to see him leave for one of those destinations in the next couple of weeks.
Obviously, this is a situation we'll be keeping an eye on going forward.
