I saw today, via Adam Schefter, that Ryan Longwell, who has not played all season long, is signing with the Seattle Seahawks. The 'Hawks are in the middle of a playoff run after beating the Redskins on Sunday.
This is yet another step in the saga of the Minnesota/Seattle player exchange. Joining the list of players to wear both uniforms that includes Steve Hutchinson, Nate Burleson, Tarvaris Jackson, Sidney Rice, John Carlson, Chris Kluwe and uh, is that it? No, I'm sure there are others that I am forgetting.
But, honestly, I am actually quite happy for Longwell, who was usurped by rookie phenom Blair Walsh, after declining some last year. He has handled the whole thing with the utmost class, even lobbying on Twitter to get Walsh into the Pro Bowl. Good luck man.
