Panthers At Vikings: Game Time, Channel, Radio Info And More

Julian Finney

In approximately 24 hours, our Minnesota Vikings will take the field to resume their 2013 NFL season following their bye week, as they face the Carolina Panthers at the Metrodome. If you want to follow along with all of the action, here's your place to find all the information that will allow you to do so.

Television Info

This game will be handled by the folks from FOX, as it is an all-NFC affair. According to the folks from The 506, the announce team for this one will be the pairing of Sam Rosen and Brian Billick. Billick is usually paired up with Thom Brenneman (and worked with Brenneman on the Vikings' first two games), but Brenneman has been paired up with Troy Aikman while Joe Buck is working the baseball playoffs.

If you're outside of the coverage area for the game and are looking for the broadcast on the DirecTV NFL Sunday Ticket package, you will be able to find it on Channel 707.

Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 Noon Central time. The game will not be televised on AFN, and will be available in the United Kingdom on Game Pass.

Radio Info

If you're travelling or just prefer the sound of the radio call to the television announcers or what have you, the Vikings Radio Network is for you. Paul Allen and Pete Bercich are behind the mics again this season, and you can find one of their 74 affiliates near your area.

If you have satellite radio, you have options there as well. If you have an XM Radio, you'll be able to get the feed from the Vikings' announcers on Channel 228, as XM only has the home team's feed. If you have a Sirius Radio, you can get the Vikings' announcers on Channel 85 or the Panthers' announcers on Channel 139.

Referee Info

According to the folks from the Football Refs website, this week's game has been assigned to referee Ron Winter's crew. We'll see how that works out. At least it isn't Bill Leavy's squad.

Streaming Info

While there is no way to stream the video portion of today's game, you can stream the audio from Paul Allen and Pete Bercich at the KFAN website. Not sure why today is different from every other game (you generally can't stream the audio), but there you go.

As far as other streams are concerned, do NOT. . .and I mean not in any way, shape, or form. . .promote illegal streaming sites on The Daily Norseman. Not in the comments, not in the FanPosts, not in the FanShots, not in the Game Thread on Sunday, not anywhere. Don't even hint at them. Trust me on this. If you're that determined to watch the game via an illegal stream, do a Google search and find it on your own.

If you live overseas, the only legal stream, that I know of, is to purchase NFL Game Pass from the folks at NFL.com, which is actually a pretty sweet deal. I've got it for the games that aren't on AFN, and from using it to watch the pre-season games, it's a pretty solid product.

That should be everything you need to find this Sunday's action, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy!
