Vikings Would Draft At #4 If Season Ended Today

Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

If the 2013 NFL season ended today. . .a lot of season ticket holders would be incredibly pissed.

But beyond that, our favorite football team would have the #4 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft in that scenario. That news comes from Dan Kadar at the SB Nation mothership, who has taken the time to break down who would have the top 10 picks in the draft if the season ended right now.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we have already reached this point in the 2013 season.

The top 10 of the draft looks like this at the present time:

1) New York Giants
2) Jacksonville Jaguars
3) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
4) Minnesota Vikings
5/6) Pittsburgh Steelers
5/6) St. Louis Rams (via Washington Redskins)
7) Atlanta Falcons
8) Buffalo Bills
9) Oakland Raiders
10) Houston Texans

Three teams that were playoff teams in 2012 (the Vikings, Falcons, and Texans) currently find themselves in the top 10. Not sure if that trend will hold.

But, with the Vikings playing the way they have thus far in 2013, there's no reason to think that they won't be in a position to draft pretty much anybody they want. . .or, you know, a quarterback, because that's exactly where they'd go, I think.
