It's that day again, ladies and gentlemen, and we're another day closer to the next outing for the Minnesota Vikings, as they prepare to take on the Dallas Cowboys in Big D. Sure, we don't know who's starting at quarterback, but that's really secondary at this point, isn't it?
Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .
-CCNorsemen has gotten right into the swing of things with an article about punters.
-As you might expect, Mark is not terribly pleased that the Vikings couldn't pull off a trade involving defensive end Jared Allen.
-We brought you news about the tragedy involving the father of Vikings' running back Matt Asiata.
-Kyle looks at the attempts to trade Jared Allen and says, "Hey, at least we tried."
-Arif has his newest set of Blind Power Rankings available. We've also grouped them all in one place for your viewing pleasure.
-We had all sorts of stories yesterday on trade deadline day. You can find all of them in one stream.
-Ted thinks it might be a good idea to explore the possibility of making Jim Tressel the next coach of the Vikings.
-Cordarrelle Patterson was highlighted in our "Only the Best" series, sponsored by Applebee's.
-Running backs Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart were featured as our Teammates of the Week, brought to you by the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts.
-Last, but certainly not least, we promoted a FanPost by Virginia Viking about his best day as a Vikings fan. Feel free to share yours as well!
Man. . .that's the most stories in one day we've put up in a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong time, I think.
The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum/use the spoiler tags if you feel that you absolutely must curse.
Lou Reed week continues in the ambient music selection for the day.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Wednesday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the remainder of your Hump Day, and we'll have more for you as the day moves ahead.
