If the Minnesota Vikings are going to be making another trip to London to play a football game, it won't happen until 2015 at the earliest.
The National Football League announced today that they will be playing three games at Wembley Stadium in the 2014 season. The "home" teams for those three games will be the Jacksonville Jaguars (again), the Oakland Raiders, and the Atlanta Falcons.
The Vikings only play one of those three teams in 2014, that being the Falcons, and that game will take place at TCF Bank Stadium as a Minnesota home game. The Vikings won't play the Raiders again until 2015, and won't see the Jaguars again until 2016, as they will play the AFC West and AFC South in those years, respectively.
So, for everyone. . .including myself. . .that was hoping for another Minnesota Vikings trip across the pond, it won't be happening next season. That means all eight Minnesota home games will be taking place in the friendly confines of TCF Bank Stadium on the campus of the University of Minnesota.
