My apologies for the tardiness on getting this out there, folks. I generally endeavor to get these things put together earlier than this, but real life wouldn't permit that.
We have the final injury reports for this Sunday's game in the Pacific Northwest between the Seattle Seahawks and the Minnesota Vikings. Let's take a look at those now, starting with the visiting team like we always do.
Minnesota Vikings
Name | Position | Injury | Sunday Status |
Letroy Guion | DT | Chest | Out |
Kyle Rudolph | TE | Foot | Out |
Matt Asiata | RB | Shoulder | Doubtful |
Rhett Ellison | TE | Ankle | Questionable |
Fred Evans | DT | Knee | Questionable |
Chris Cook | CB | Hamstring | Probable |
Jerome Felton | FB | Back | Probable |
Chad Greenway | LB | Wrist | Probable |
Erin Henderson | LB | Illness | Probable |
Greg Jennings | WR | Achilles | Probable |
Charlie Johnson | G | Elbow/Toe | Probable |
Phil Loadholt | OT | Concussion | Probable |
Adrian Peterson | RB | Groin | Probable |
Christian Ponder | QB | Left Shoulder | Probable |
Jamarca Sanford | S | Groin | Probable |
Once again, a pretty sizable list of names for the Vikings, but not a lot of impact. Loadholt has participated fully in practice all week, and it stands to reason that he'll be back at right tackle on Sunday. Sanford will likely retake his starting safety spot from Andrew Sendejo, and Chris Cook is back from his latest injury. . .we'll see how long that lasts. We'll also have to see how Guion being out and Evans' questionable status impacts the number of snaps that Kevin Williams plays at the nose tackle spot, even though he's repeatedly said he doesn't want to play there.
And now, on to the injury report for the home team.
Seattle Seahawks
Name | Postion | Injury | Sunday Status |
Brandon Browner | CB | Groin | Out |
Tony McDaniel | DT | Hamstring | Questionable |
Red Bryant | DE | Concussion | Probable |
Kam Chancellor | S | Hip | Probable |
Chris Clemons | DE | Non-Injury | Probable |
Derrick Coleman | RB | Hamstring | Probable |
Heath Farwell | LB | Knee | Probable |
Breno Giacomini | OT | Knee | Probable |
Percy Harvin | WR | Hip | Probable |
Jordan Hill | DT | Biceps | Probable |
Bruce Irvin | DE | Shoulder | Probable |
Jeron Johnson | S | Hamstring | Probable |
Jeremy Lane | CB | Thigh | Probable |
Marshawn Lynch | RB | Knee | Probable |
Richard Sherman | CB | Hip | Probable |
Max Unger | C | Concussion | Probable |
The Seahawks actually have more names on the injury report than the Vikings do (by one), but one of their injuries has a pretty significant impact, that being Brandon Browner being out. However, that's mitigated by the fact that the Seahawks are pretty deep at the cornerback spot. Along with Giacomini and Unger, the Seahawks are also apparently going to get offensive tackle Russel Okung back. Okung was placed on IR-return earlier in the season, and it looks like he'll be back for Sunday's game. That's 60% of the Seattle offensive line that will make its way back onto the field on Sunday. Oh, and there's that Harvin guy, too. That may have been mentioned once or twice.
And there are your injury reports for this Sunday's game, ladies and gentlemen.
