This week's game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Dallas Cowboys will, hopefully, be much better than the games we've seen the past couple of weeks. We don't have to wait for prime time for this one, and if you want to know where you can find the action this week, we have all of that for you right here.
Television Info
This game, being an all-NFC match-up, will be handled by the folks at FOX. Your announcers for this one will be. . .sigh. . .Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, according to the folks from The 506. Yes, apparently Vikings' fans haven't been punished enough this year. . .we get the return of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman calling a Cowboys' game. Happy happy joy joy.
If you're outside of the coverage area for this one and will be relying on the NFL Sunday Ticket package for your viewing, you can find this week's game on Channel 708.
Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 noon Central time. . .hopefully you've adjusted your clocks accordingly. The game is available in the United Kingdom on Game Pass. For our men and women overseas, this game has been selected as the AFN Fan's Choice Game of the Week, and as such will be featured on AFN Sports. Kickoff time is 1800Z, which is 1900L in Central Europe, 2230L in Afghanistan, and Monday morning at 0300L for everyone in Japan and Korea.
Radio Info
If you're travelling or just prefer the sound of the radio call to the television announcers or what have you, the Vikings Radio Network is for you. Paul Allen and Pete Bercich are behind the mics again this season, and you can find one of their 74 affiliates near your area.
If you have satellite radio, you have options there as well. If you have an XM Radio, you'll be able to get the feed from the Cowboys' announcers on Channel 229, as XM only has the home team's feed. If you have a Sirius Radio, you can get the Vikings' announcers on Channel 110 or the Cowboys' announcers on Channel 108.
Referee Info
According to the folks from the Football Refs website, this week's game has been assigned to referee Jeff Triplette's crew. We'll see how that works out.
Streaming Info
To my knowledge, there is no legal way to stream this week's action, short of having the NFL Sunday Ticket on your video game console of choice.
As far as other streams are concerned, do NOT. . .and I mean not in any way, shape, or form. . .promote illegal streaming sites on The Daily Norseman. Not in the comments, not in the FanPosts, not in the FanShots, not in the Game Thread on Sunday, not anywhere. Don't even hint at them. Trust me on this. If you're that determined to watch the game via an illegal stream, do a Google search and find it on your own.
If you live overseas, the only legal stream, that I know of, is to purchase NFL Game Pass from the folks at NFL.com, which is actually a pretty sweet deal. I've got it for the games that aren't on AFN, and from using it to watch the pre-season games, it's a pretty solid product.
That should be everything you need to find this Sunday's action, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy!
