The work week is coming to an end, ladies and gentlemen, and we've got a short week to look forward to next week, which is always nice. There's Minnesota Vikings football coming up this weekend, and we'll continue to do our best to keep you covered until then.
Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .
-Vikings guard Brandon Fusco is getting a bit of recognition from the folks at Pro Football Focus.
-Eric put together his NFL picks for Week 12 of action.
-We try to figure out exactly what's going on with the quarterback situation in Minnesota, and it turns out that, you know, nobody really has any idea.
From some other outposts around the internet. . .
-It seems that quarterback Josh Freeman "isn't bitter" about his role with the Vikings. If I was collecting the same amount of money that he is to wear a baseball cap on the sideline, I wouldn't be bitter, either.
-We talked a bit yesterday about Leslie Frazier's loyalty. Yahoo! Sports appears to have noticed the same thing.
-ESPN spoke with former Vikings' trainer Fred Zamberletti on what it was like for the NFL to take the field just two days after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, which happened 50 years ago today.
-The price of the new Minnesota Vikings stadium will be completely finalized before ground is broken in a couple of weeks.
-A lawsuit between former Vikings' teammates Ron Yary and Stu Voigt has been settled.
The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum/use the spoiler tags if you feel that you absolutely must curse.
One last playlist for this week, and an album that I believe I might have actually had on. . .cassette. Yes, cassette. Kids, if you have to ask your parents what cassettes were, take a moment to do that before you move forward.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Friday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day, and keep your eyes open for more good stuff from your favorite Minnesota Vikings website.
