Minnesota Vikings At Green Bay Packers: Final Injury Reports

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

Both the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers have released their final injury reports for this Sunday's contest at Lambeau Field, and there are some pretty significant ones on both sides of the ledger. Let's take a look at both sides, starting with the visiting team as we always do.

Minnesota Vikings

Name Position Injury Sunday Status
Erin Henderson LB Non-Injury Out
Josh Robinson CB Chest Out
Kyle Rudolph TE Foot Out
Greg Jennings WR Achilles Questionable
Michael Mauti LB Knee Questionable
Adrian Peterson RB Groin Questionable
Brian Robison DE Neck Questionable
John Sullivan C Concussion Questionable
Jared Allen DE Back Probable
Matt Asiata RB Shoulder Probable
Rhett Ellison TE Ankle Probable
Fred Evans DT Knee/Shoulder Probable
Chad Greenway LB Wrist Probable
Letroy Guion DT Chest Probable
Christian Ponder QB Left Shoulder Probable

The list of injuries for the Vikings isn't getting any shorter. . .sadly. As we reported earlier, OMG Audie Cole will get the start at middle linebacker with Erin Henderson not being available. I would assume that Xavier Rhodes will get the start on the outside with Marcus Sherels moving into the slot in Robinson's absence. We'll have to see how the rest of the injuries shake out for the Vikings as we get closer to game time.

And now, on to the home team.

Green Bay Packers

Name Position Injury Sunday Status
Don Barclay OL Knee Out
Casey Hayward CB Hamstring Out
James Nixon CB Knee Out
Nick Perry LB Foot/Ankle Out
Aaron Rodgers QB Collarbone Out
Johnny Jolly DT Groin Doubtful
Sam Shields CB Hamstring Questionable
Evan Dietrich-Smith OL Knee Probable
Micah Hyde CB Groin Probable
Clay Matthews LB Thumb Probable
Andy Mulumba LB Ankle Probable
Mike Neal LB/DE Abdomen Probable
Ryan Pickett DT Knee Probable

The Packers have almost. . .almost. . .as many players on their injury report as the Vikings have on theirs. Rodgers is, obviously, the big one, though Hayward is a pretty significant loss for them as well. The Packers are going to have to do quite a bit of shuffling in their defensive backfield. . .not that the Vikings will be able to take advantage of it, in all likelihood.

It looks like it's going to be quite the battle of attrition at Lambeau Field on Sunday, folks.
