Minnesota Vikings At Green Bay Packers: Fourth Quarter Open Thread

One quarter of play remains at Lambeau Field and the Vikings are 15 minutes away from an upset.

UPSET ALERT! UPSET ALERT!

(Did we just jinx it? Sorry.)

There's only one quarter of action left in Green Bay and our Beloved Purple actually has the upper hand. The Vikings scored the first points of the second half after yet another impressive drive led by Christian Ponder. (I don't know what it is about the Packers that can bring the best out of Ponder, but I like it.) It culminated in a 12-yard touchdown pass to Rhett Ellison as the Vikings increased their lead to 20-7.

We saw a non-injury quarterback change, but it wasn't the team you might have expected. Matt Flynn came in for the second Packers drive of the third quarter replacing the ineffective Scott Tolzien. He and James Starks had a a couple big plays to make it look like it was 2011 for a while, but their drive sputtered and the Packers were forced to punt.

After Tim Masthay (arguably Green Bay's MVP today) pinned Minnesota deep, the Vikings once again went to work.

Insert Toby Gerhart. He TOBY SMASHED his way deep into Packers territory and the Vikings are marching as we start the fourth quarter in Green Bay.

Follow along with us as the Vikings go for the big upset!
