Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 11/26

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

We're halfway through the work week for most people already, with the Thanksgiving holiday fast approaching. That means a full Thursday of NFL football to set us up for this weekend's Minnesota Vikings game as they host the Chicago Bears for the last time at the Metrodome this coming Sunday.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-The big story coming out of Vikings country was the arrest. . .and subsequent release. . .of cornerback A.J. Jefferson after he was arrested on charges of domestic violence.

-The Minnesota Vikings, following this weekend's tie, now sit with the fourth pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

-It took a while, but Cordarrelle Patterson is finally getting a chance to make a splash at the wide receiver position.

From some other sites across the internet. . .

-The performance of linebacker Audie Cole on Sunday is going to make the Vikings "take a look" at the linebacker position.

-After the Vikings released Jefferson, they filled his roster spot with. . .an offensive lineman, signing Mike Remmers from the practice squad of the San Diego Chargers.

-It doesn't appear that the Vikings will be dealing with Jay Cutler when they face the Bears this weekend.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum/use the spoiler tags if you feel you absolutely must curse.

Let's keep up the "tie" theme for today's music.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Tuesday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day, and we'll have more for you throughout the course of the day.
