Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 11/4

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Another Monday, and another post-loss hangover for we fans of the Minnesota Vikings. The team has matched the worst start in franchise history, but there's no time to dwell on it, as the team has a quick turn-around for their Thursday night match-up at the Metrodome against the Washington Redskins. We'll have more on that game going forward, and a bit more on yesterday's loss as well.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-All of our coverage from this past weekend's game can be found right here.

-We have various recaps of the game up. . .Eric posted his, I posted mine, and Ted has the Stock Market Report available for your reading pleasure.

-Adrian Peterson and Chase Ford have teamed up to be our Teammates of the Week for Week 9, sponsored by Call of Duty: Ghosts.

-Jared Allen didn't get traded at the deadline because of money.

-Ted has some more Rickspeak for you, while CC Norsemen brought you a more conventional recap of the GM's most recent presser.

That should be sufficient for now. . .there are various recaps of yesterday's loss that you can find across the internet if you have the desire to read them.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum/use the spoiler tags if you feel that you absolutely must curse.

For this week's ambient music, it feels like it's time for a Metallica week. I was going to go with that this past week before deciding to do the Lou Reed tribute thing instead, so here we go.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Monday, ladies and gentlemen. We hope you have a good rest of your day, and keep your eyes open for more as we go forward.
