AD's Big Day In Big D

After a few showings that were less than stellar. . .after all, it's hard to be great when you're not actually getting the football. . .Minnesota Vikings' running back Adrian Peterson put together what might have been his best performance of the season on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. We've already been over the amazing touchdown run that he had, but he set a couple of other marks as well.

Peterson had his 40th career 100-yard rushing performance on Sunday, making him the seventeenth player in NFL history with that many games over the century mark. He also climbed into the top 30 in rushing yards all-time. He now sits at 9,560 yards for his career, leaving him just 440 yards away from joining 27 other backs in NFL history with at least 10,000 career rushing yards.

Despite having a "down year" by his standards, Peterson is still fourth in the NFL in rushing thus far with 711 yards, 66 yards behind Philadelphia's LeSean McCoy for the league lead. His seven rushing touchdowns are tied for second in the NFL to this point in the season.

Good to see Adrian Peterson start to return to form a bit. Hopefully this is a trend that will continue for the rest of the season.
