Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 11/7

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

It's Game Day, everybody! In about 12 hours, the Minnesota Vikings will be kicking off their game at the Metrodome against the Washington Redskins. The bad news is that the Vikings are pretty bad in prime time. . .but the good news is that this is their final prime time appearance of 2013! Either way, we're looking forward to tonight's action and will be bringing you everything this evening.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-We answered Five Good Questions from our friends at Hogs Haven, and they answered some for us as well.

-Kyle put together an article about hazing that has generated a lot of debate.

-Arif and company have a new episode of Norse Code for you to listen to. Also, Arif will be on assignment tonight for the game. . .be sure you keep an eye on his Twitter account for everything about that.

From some other outposts across the internet. . .

-ESPN has their mid-season report on the Vikings. SPOILER: It's not pretty.

-The team and the state are still hashing out the financial details of the new stadium.

-The Minnesota Vikings, much like everyone that follows the team, are not terribly pleased with the play calling.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as always, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum/use the spoiler tags if you feel that you absolutely must curse.

Another Metallica song for our ambient music today, folks.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Thursday, ladies and gentlemen! Enjoy the rest of your day. . .we'll have a few more things throughout the morning and afternoon for you, and the usual Open Threads and coverage of this week's contest starting approximately 90 minutes before kickoff.
