We've got just under ninety minutes to go before kickoff at the Metrodome, ladies and gentlemen. Both the Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings have released their inactive lists for tonight's contest, so let's take a look at them now. As always, we start with the visiting team.
Washington Redskins
TE Fred Davis
QB Rex Grossman
S Jose Gumbs
LB Brandon Jenkins
G Josh LeRibeus
DT Chris Neild
RB Chris Thompson
Fred Davis is a pretty solid tight end, so the Redskins not having him is sort of important. Then again, the emergence of Jordan Reed mitigates it significantly. No other big names on the list, although there will be no chance of the dragon being unleashed this evening.
And now, on to the home team.
Minnesota Vikings
RB Matt Asiata
CB Chris Cook
DT Fred Evans
G Charlie Johnson
OT Phil Loadholt
TE Kyle Rudolph
S Jamarca Sanford
Charlie Johnson is the "doubtful" guy that winds up on the inactive list this evening. You'll see a lot of stuff about guys being "active" tonight. When you declare six guys as "out" before the game, that only leaves you with one more spot on the inactive list. Can't deactivate everybody.
Sharrif Floyd will get his first NFL start tonight. Joe Berger will start at guard for Johnson, and Xavier Rhodes will start at corner in place of Cook. J'Marcus Webb starts for Loadholt, and Mistral Raymond is in Sanford's spot at safety.
Those are your inactive lists going into tonight's contest, ladies and gentlemen. We'll have the Open Thread coming up for you just about any time now, so keep your eyes open for that.
