Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder injured his left (non-throwing) shoulder late in the third quarter of the Vikings' 34-27 victory over the Washington Redskins on Thursday Night Football. We did now know the extent of the injury at first, but reports are starting to circulate that it's pretty bad for Ponder.
Pete Bercich, the color man for the Minnesota Vikings' Radio Network, pass this along via Twitter just a few moments ago.
Ponder dislocated his left shoulder.

This was later confirmed by AJ Mansour of KFAN-FM 100.3 in the Twin Cities.

If his shoulder is dislocated, one would think that he would be out for a significant period of time. It might even be enough to end his season, which will leave the Vikings with Matt Cassel and Josh Freeman at quarterback going forward.
The Vikings have ten days to make that decision, as the team will travel to Seattle a week from Sunday to take on the Seahawks.
