Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 11/8

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sport

Well, well, well, ladies and gentlemen. . .it's Friday, and we actually get to celebrate a Minnesota Vikings victory, as they managed to pull one out last night against the Washington Redskins. Hopefully that will put people in a decent mood going into the weekend.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-All of the coverage of last night's game against the Redskins can be found in the game stream right here.

-If you're more interested in just the recaps, I have my initial take and Ted took care of the Stock Market Report.

-The idea of "tanking" is stupid. It always has been. It always will be.

-Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder suffered a dislocated shoulder late in the third quarter of last night's game. Hopefully more news will be coming on that later today.

From some other outposts across the internet. . .

-Ponder "expects to start next week," despite the injury he suffered.

-Tom Powers of the St. Paul Pioneer Press recaps the drama from last night.

-There are also recaps of the game from Fox Sports North and the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've always been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum/use the spoiler tags if you feel as though you absolutely must curse.

We wrap up Metallica week for our ambient music with this selection.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for a VICTORY FRIDAY, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day, and if we get any further update on the status of Christian Ponder or anything else Vikings-related, we will have it here for you.
