Philadelphia Eagles at Minnesota Vikings: Final Injury Reports

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

With another Friday nearly down the tubes, we've got our first glance at the final injury reports leading up to this Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles.  Fearless Leader is still in the midst of a busy move, so I've stepped in to provide the latest news here.  So, let's take a look at both of the injury reports, starting as we always do, with the visiting team.

It's a pretty short list for the Eagles this week, and they'll be glad to have Boykin and Williams available in what has otherwise been a fairly weak secondary.  Not much else to add there, so with that let's look at the home team.

Once again we have an injury list a mile long, although it's shorter than last week!  With John Carlson out, we'll be relying on Rhett Ellison and Chase Ford to handle the tight ends duties.  But even more alarming is that all three of our top cornerbacks are on the list.  Robinson is still not ready to return after breaking his sternum, and Rhodes likely won't play either.  With Chris Cook questionable once again we'll be relying on Marcus Sherels, Robert Blanton and Shaun Prater as our only fully healthy corners.  That said, Harrison Smith looks like he is on track to return this week, but it remains to be seen if he'll get a full load of snaps.

At running back both Gerhart and Peterson were limited in practice Friday and are hoping to suit up in Sunday's game.  Attention fantasy footballers: they will both be game-time decisions.  Never-the-less, Matt Asiata got 1st team reps in practice earlier in the week, and the team recently signed undrafted free agent (and training camp stand out) Bradley Randle to the practice squad as further insurance.  We'll see what happens this Sunday.  Oh, and lastly with Brandon Fusco likely out, Joe Berger will be getting the start at right guard.

And that wraps up your final injury reports for the game against the Eagles ladies and gentlemen (my Chris Gates impression is pretty good, no?).
