Chris Tomasson over at the Pioneer Press is reporting that the Vikings have officially moved CB Josh Robinson to IR after he suffered a fractured sternum November 17th. The Vikings were hoping he might return before the season was over, but after almost 4 weeks the team has decided to shut him down for the rest of the year. But in more positive news, safety Harrison Smith has been activated from the IR - Designated to Return list and takes Kyle Rudolph's roster spot who was moved to IR earlier in the week.
However, what might be another sign of potential injury news is that another pair of players have been activated from the practice squad. With Adrian Peterson, Toby Gerhart and Chris Cook all "questionable" for tomorrow's game against the Eagles, the Vikings released tackle Mike Remmers (bringing their total roster spots available to 2 with Robinson on IR now) to make room for activating two practice squad players: running back Joe Banyard and cornerback Robert Steeples. Whew. It was a whirlwind of moves this afternoon, but regardless Peterson, Gerhart and Cook all remain game-time decisions.
