Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 12/16

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sport

It's a new week, ladies and gentlemen, and the Minnesota Vikings are coming off of what might be the upset of the year in the NFL for 2013, a 48-30 whipping of the Philadelphia Eagles that happened without Adrian Peterson and a cast of others. I don't know about you, but I enjoyed the heck out of the entire thing. Just two games left in the 2013 season for our favorite football team. . .hopefully they'll both be just as enjoyable.

If you would like to go back and have a look at all of our coverage of yesterday's contest, you can check out the entire stream right here. You can also check out the game recaps from the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, the St. Paul Pioneer Press1500 ESPN, and the big ESPN.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, folks. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum and/or use the spoiler tags if you feel that you absolutely must curse.

This seems like a pretty good song for today.

My apologies for getting the Open Thread up a little later than normal today, folks. . .still trying to get the ol' internal clock adjusted. But the beer light is on and the bar is open for this victory Monday, ladies and gentlemen. We'll have some more for your reading pleasure throughout the course of the day today.
