Frazier: Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart Will Be Back For Bengals Game

The Minnesota Vikings will be welcoming back a couple of their primary weapons when they take on the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday, according to the team's head coach.

Leslie Frazier told reporters on Monday that he expects his top two running backs, Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart, to be ready to go against the Bengals. In fact, Frazier went so far as to say that all of the players that missed Sunday's game would be ready to go for this week's game, with the possible exception of cornerback Xavier Rhodes. Rhodes sprained his ankle against Baltimore, and the team isn't sure if he'll be able to get back onto the practice field by this coming Wednesday.

Peterson and Gerhart both, apparently, had a chance to play this Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, but wound up being deactivated. Peterson went as far as to say that the decision on whether he'd play or not was "taken out of his hands."

It will be nice to see Peterson and Gerhart back this Sunday, if that's the case. As great as it was watching Matt Asiata put together what might have been the ugliest three-touchdown performance in NFL history (30 carries for 51 yards to go along with the three scores), it will be nice to see #28 and #32 lined up in the backfield against the Bengals.
